Blepharoplasty
Rejuvenate your face in the blink of an eyes
¿What is a Liposculpture and what is it used for ?
Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a surgical procedure performed to improve the appearance of the upper and lower eyelids. It involves removing excess skin and fat that accumulates around the eyes, which can cause dark circles, bags, and wrinkles in the eye area.
Blepharoplasty is a safe and effective procedure that can significantly improve the appearance of the eyes, giving the face a more youthful and fresh look. In addition to the aesthetic improvement, blepharoplasty can also correct functional problems, such as obstructed vision due to excess skin in the upper eyelids.
Consultation and Preparation
In this procedure, an incision is made along the natural crease of the upper eyelid and just below the eyelashes of the lower lid. Once the incision is made, the surgeon can remove excess skin, fat, and muscle. The incision is then closed with fine sutures that will be removed a few days after the surgery.
In some cases, a no-incision technique called transconjunctival blepharoplasty can be performed. In this procedure, the incision is made inside the lower eyelid, on the conjunctiva, the transparent membrane that covers the inside of the eyelid. Through this incision, the fat is removed or repositioned to improve the appearance of the eyes without the need for an external incision.

In general, the surgery is performed under local anesthesia with sedation, and the patient can return home on the same day after surgery, and it takes about 1 to 2 hours..

After the operation, it is normal to experience swelling, bruising, and redness around the eyes. Additionally, the eyes may feel dry and irritated, and there may be some tearing or sensitivity to light.
During the first few days after surgery, it is important to rest and limit physical activities. Sleeping with the head elevated is recommended to reduce swelling. Cold compresses can be applied to reduce inflammation and bruising.
The surgeon may prescribe pain medication and/or antibiotics to prevent infections. The use of eye drops may also be necessary to keep the eyes lubricated and reduce irritation.
In general, it is recommended to avoid intense physical activities such as running or lifting heavy objects for at least two weeks after surgery. Activities that require bending or leaning should be avoided, and hot baths or saunas should be avoided for at least one week after surgery.
