Liposculpture
Give shape to your dream body. Get rid of that excess fat that doesn't let your figure shine.
¿What is a Liposculpture and what is it used for ?
Abdominoplasty is an aesthetic surgical procedure that is used to remove excess skin and fat in the abdomen, and to restore the firm and toned appearance of the abdominal muscles. The surgery can be especially useful for people who have lost a significant amount of weight or for women who have had multiple pregnancies and have excess skin and weakened abdominal muscles. Abdominoplasty is not a substitute for regular exercise and a healthy diet, but it can provide an effective solution for improving the appearance of the abdomen when these methods are not enough.

Consultation and Preparation
During the initial consultation, the surgeon will evaluate the patient’s overall health and discuss their goals and expectations regarding the surgery. A physical examination will also be performed to assess the amount of abdominal skin and fat to be removed, as well as to determine the extent of muscle repair needed. The plastic surgeon will also discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure and explain the surgical process in detail. Photographs will be taken, and you will receive detailed instructions on how to prepare for surgery — including the need to stop smoking, avoid certain medications and supplements that may increase the risk of complications, and make specific changes to your diet and exercise routine.
Procedure
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia, and depending on the areas and amount of fat to be removed, it can take between 1 to 4 hours..
The plastic surgeon will make small incisions in the areas to be treated, and then, through these incisions, a thin, long cannula is inserted that suctions excess fat from the body. Depending on the type of liposculpture being performed, different techniques can be used to break up and extract the fat, such as laser-assisted liposculpture, ultrasound-assisted liposculpture, and tumescent liposculpture.
Once the appropriate amount of fat has been extracted, the incisions are closed and covered with bandages and/or compression garments to help reduce inflammation and swelling.

Post-operative and Recovery
After surgery, the patient may experience some common side effects such as swelling, bruising, and pain. However, these symptoms usually disappear within a few days. It's important to follow the doctor's instructions for postoperative recovery to ensure proper healing. Typically, wearing compression garments for several weeks after surgery is recommended to help reduce swelling and promote faster recovery. The patient should also avoid strenuous physical activity for at least two weeks after the surgery and avoid any activity that may exert pressure on the treated area. It is important to get enough rest and follow a specific diet to help the body heal.It is important to keep in mind that the recovery from liposculpture can vary from person to person and the recovery time may also depend on the type of liposculpture and the size of the treated area. In general, most patients can return to their normal activities in approximately two to three weeks after surgery. One or several follow-up consultations with the surgeon may be required after surgery to ensure that the patient is healing properly and to make adjustments to the recovery plan if necessary.
